Genny Kelly
Genny started with HUD as an administrative assistant. She quickly moved into a Realty Specialist position with HUD’s REO Division in Richmond, Virginia. While there, she was the lead in HUD’s REO Demonstration Program. Soon after, she was transferred to the North Carolina Field Office where she excelled in HUD’s REO Division, including an assignment to HUD HQ for assisting in the developing of SAMS, a data base for tracking HUD’s REO inventory. She then transferred to HUD’s Atlanta Homeownership Center where she worked as an underwriter in the Processing & Underwriting Division, and after several promotions, was promoted to Senior Single Family Housing Specialist in the Quality Assurance Division.
In 2007, Genny retired from HUD and founded AQC. Under her leadership, AQC has grown to over 100 satisfied clients in the United States and Puerto Rico. She’s a member of the Georgia Real Estate Fraud Prevention and Awareness Coalition, the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women as well as a number of state mortgage professional associations. She is a NAPMW Certified Mortgage Instructor.
On May 4, 2007, Genny embarked on a new career as owner and operator of Accurate Quality Control (AQC), Inc. She believes in “doing the right thing RIGHT.” Her reputation in the industry has already led to her being elected as a board member and Education Committee Chairman for the Georgia Real Estate Fraud Prevention and Awareness Coalition (GREFPAC.)
Genny was employed with the United States Government for 27 years. She started her civil service career at Minot AFB, ND, and continued to work in the administrative field at various Air Force bases until 1986. Genny then began a real estate career where she became a million dollar producer her first year in the business. Her real estate career included site management of a multi-million dollar single-family mixed-use housing development. In 1989, due to her husband’s United States Air Force (USAF) active duty transfer, she decided to resume her career with the federal government. In 1990, she began working for the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. She worked as a Realty Specialist in the Richmond, VA and Greensboro, NC offices. In 1996, she transferred to the Atlanta Homeownership Center, where she worked as an underwriter in the Processing and Underwriting Division for two years. In 1998, she was promoted to Senior Single Family Housing Specialist in the Quality Assurance Division. For nine years, Genny took pride in helping lenders become compliant with HUD regulations. She was and still is totally knowledgeable of federal and state requirements relative to loan origination. In addition, her keen eye and attention to detail positioned her as one of HUD’s fraud experts in the Southeast.
Genny received numerous commendations from HUD during her tenure, was sought after by her peers for training and guidance, and is respected by all mortgage industry professionals. Email Genny
Genny was born at Fort Bragg, in NC and was raised in Erwin, NC. She is married to Retired USAF MSgt Edward Kelly, a current civilian government employee, and Project Manager for AQC. Together, they have one daughter, April, and two grandchildren, Connor and Cassandra.
